This site is operated by the law firm named below (the firm). It is used to screen and handle tariff-refund, drawback, export-control and related matters for businesses.
Public shipping-manifest data about importers (company names, addresses, shipment counts and origins) used to prepare outreach.
Information you give us: intake details (entity name, state, last four digits of an EIN, importer-of-record number, signer name and role, brokers), uploaded CBP entry reports and export records, contracts and product descriptions you ask us to review, and bank-link details handled by our payments provider (we never store account numbers).
Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and whether an email we sent was delivered or opened.
To estimate and pursue refunds and other recoveries you engage us for, to prepare the documents those matters need, to bill fees, and to meet court and agency requirements.
Outreach is attorney advertising. You can stop it at any time with the link in any message or by replying 'stop'; we keep your name on a suppression list so you are not contacted again.
We use a model provider for narrowly defined language tasks (reading contract terms, extracting product parameters). Those requests are not used to train models, and every result is reviewed by an attorney before it reaches you.
Service providers under contract: hosting and database, email and postal delivery, e-signature, payments, authentication and the model provider. Each receives only what its function needs. A current list is available on request.
Courts and agencies when a filing or claim requires it. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based with multi-factor authentication for firm users, and every access to client data is logged. Matter files are kept for the retention period the engagement letter states (seven years by default) and then deleted or returned. Outreach data for companies that never engage us is kept no longer than two years.
Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask for deletion where the law allows, by writing to the address below. Illinois residents and others with statutory rights can exercise them the same way.
